There are two valuable resources right in TAC that can help you to find any answer you are looking for.  In the top right of TAC, under the Tools menu, select eLearning Center.   Choose Launch Course at the next screen to open the eLearning Guide. Navigate using the Menu to see animated and narrarated tutorials on many topics, or choose resources for printable PDFs of the manual. 

TAC has outstanding Contextual Help built in to the product.  If you click the Help button in the toolbar it will take you to a help page explaining everything on the page you are currently viewing. 

Elementary Report Cards (Grades 1-4)

Kindergarten will use their existing report cards for the 2015/2016 School Year. 

Competency Report Card

The elementary school report card uses a feature called Student & Course Competencies to report on student perormance.  See the example report card to the left for a preview of this.  Each of the four core courses will receive an ABCDF grade (auto-calculated) for the overall marks.  

  • English & Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
  • Science

The sub-categories below will receive an automatically calculated M/P/NI for each. 

  • Reading
  • Language
  • Spelling
  • Handwriting

Teachers will assign indicators to the individual competency areas based on student performance. 


  • Comprehension
  • Vocabulary
  • Word Attack Skills
Marks are not available in HAC until the office pushes these grades out on the selected date. 

Middle & High School Report Cards

Standard A - F Report Card

These report cards will be calculated based on the overall final average for the current marking period.  Teachers will follow three main steps to enter data which will appear on the report card. 

  1. Load marks from gradebook.
  2. Verify these marks. 
  3. Enter Pre-entered or free-text comments.  
Marks are not available in HAC until the office pushes these grades out on the selected date.
